Music, career, dogs...

I'm looking forward to escaping to Latitude Festival in July.  Live music has been a treat for me since Mum took me to my first gig aged three to see Cliff.  I hope she is jiving with Dad again. Happy that we still went to concerts until covid stopped them, Rod Stewart, Elton John, the Drifters, Tom Jones most recently.  I'll need a new excuse.

And very proud to be the daughter of a woman who, starting back in the glass ceiling 70s, went from office worker to CEO of what is now Deaf Blind UK, raised millions for their cause, fought at Downing Street for disabled rights and never lost sight of the needs of the individual.  Proud that my Dad supported her.

Her grandchildren will miss her contrary comments and that she was still telling me off to the end.  Hope we've all inherited some of her strength of character when it comes to battles to fight and know we've all inherited her love of dogs.

Massive thank you to @stbarnabashospice nursing team for all they did to enable us to look after Mum at home.
